Blocking and unblocking contacts

You can stop receiving messages, calls and status updates from certain contacts by blocking them.

To block

To block a contact

1. Tap the Menu Button > Settings > Account > Privacy > Blocked contacts.
2. Tap Add .
3. Select the contact you wish to block from the list.

To block an unknown number

1. Open the chat with the unknown contact.
2. Tap Block.

Alternatively, if this message is spam, you will also have the option to Report spam, which will report and block the user.

Note:

• Messages and status updates sent by a blocked contact will not show up on your phone and will never be delivered to you.
• Your last seen and online information will no longer be visible to contacts you have blocked.
• Your status updates will not be visible to any blocked contacts.
• Any changes made to your profile photo will no longer be visible to contacts you have blocked.
• Blocking someone will not remove this contact from your contact list, nor will it remove you from the list on this contact's phone. To delete a contact, you must delete the contact from your phone's address book.

To unblock

1. Tap the Menu Button > Settings > Account > Privacy > Blocked contacts.
2. Tap and hold the contact's name.
3. Tap Unblock from the pop up menu.

Alternatively, you can simply send a message to the contact you blocked and you will be prompted to unblock the contact.

Note: If you unblock a contact, you will not receive any calls or messages that contact sent you during the time they were blocked.
